Regulatory compliance

It is imperative everyone is compliant with relevant data protection laws - in the UK these are primarily GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and DPA (Data Protection Act 2018). In the University ecosystem, more specific guidance is available from UIS - Storing and sharing personal data.

Data security levels

The University defines four levels of data security - from Level 0 (Negligible impact) to Level 3 (High/very high impact): Guidelines on University data security classifications.
